My Swiss Surprise

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.

Wishes are Powerful.

WishLists are Magical.

If you truly believe in them.

I had this on mine for the year and I’ve been scouting for the perfect one until today.

Victorinox CyberTool Lite 1.7925.T

And all I could say was, “How did you know…!?”

I could’ve sworn Popsie took a peek into that list. But the thing is,

I never had it written down.

It’s possible he bribed my imaginary WishListKeeperFriend.

Oh well.

Thank you Pops! You’re the Bestest!

And the Winner is…

I posted this entry almost three months ago:

But it was only last week that I declared the official winner:

Panasonic Lumix LX5

Finally! ūüôā

I’m hoping I’d be able to take better shots of the places I’ll be visiting soon.

If you were wondering about my choice, I thought I’d post some of the awesome test shots from this baby too:

Got me a pair of new buds for more rockin’ thuds just a couple of weeks ago. I felt that my current pair are about to reach retirable age and it was sheer luck that¬†Republic¬†in Pasong Tamo Ext. had their Skullcandy¬†¬†stocks on sale.

We all kind of went a little berserk with the drop in prices and felt the need to sift through the boxes for the best pair that would suit each of us.¬†Mad props to the store’s manager for graciously bearing with us¬†while we were at it. lol!

As for myself, I took home the hot pink Asym pair with a lovely nylon, shell case and have not looked back since. With these, you get ultra clean, crisp sounds, you wouldn’t want to take them off.

An acquaintance had once asked if I loved music. I said “no”. Simply because to say that you love music would be tantamount to saying you love the air that you breathe: you don’t just love it, you can’t¬†live¬†without it.¬†Any audiophile would have the same sentiments no doubt. And this little instrument here? Well,I really just wanted to enhance my “breathing” experience. ūüėČ

Torn Between Two Lenses

Even at just 4 months into this year,  I am almost convinced that 2011 is going to be my year. It seems the universe has conspired to make that happen especially with  the recent developments on the career front which will make it very conducive for me to reach the places on my wishlist.

¬†¬† ¬†But before I even start to plan the next trips, I’ve been thinking of upgrading my handy little point and shoot to something that would take better-quality pictures. No, I’m not going to get a DSLR (like what everyone seems to be doing around here even if they’ve never heard of the words “aperture” and “shutter speed“) because I always try to pack light and I hate having to carry bulky,¬†auxiliary¬†items. And no, I don’t want some super-digital, super-compact, over-hyped and overpriced little gadget. I wanted to look into a semi-pro that would be capable of delivering sharp pictures almost close to an SLR.

So, after doing some homework and by process of elimination, I slimmed the choices down to the  final 2 contenders competing for the honor of a space in my backpack:

Now all I have to do is decide. Check back soon to know which one’s the winner.
